The disease hemolytic urmic syndrome (short form HUS, also known as Gasser syndrome) is characterized through the classical triad of: acute renal failure thrombocytopenia (low Platelets) hemolytic anemia Due to the underlying etiology and clinical course of the disease the hemolytic uremic syndrome can be divided into typical HUS (HUS) atypical HUS (aHUS)
